Introduction:
Whew! With all that hard work that you face as 4th graders, you deserve a break. Where would you go? What would you see? Well, pack your bags (figuratively speaking) and get ready! You are going to plan a vacation to somewhere in New York State. Sorry, there will be no crossing state boundaries with this project. And besides, there are so many things to see and places to go within your own state that you might not even be aware of!

You are going to plan a vacation to somewhere in New York State. Sorry, there will be no crossing state boundaries with this project. Directions/Objections:
- You will plan a one week vacation for your family to any place within NY State. You must include in your vacation (for your entire family):
- Hotel/Lodging accommodations.
- Food (per day)
- Gas and/or Airfare
- Maps
- Attractions
- Other
- You will use one or all of the included Web sites to plan your family vacation and to answer the questions set aside for you within this packet of information.
- You will create an Excel Spreadsheet to determine the cost of your family vacation.
- You will then create a brochure using Microsoft Publisher based on your family vacation.
